
Yuilyn Chang Chusan moved from her hometown Ecuador to the U.S. in 2010. She studied Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University in Miami, FL where she graduated Cum Laude. Yuilyn has experience working in the hospital setting where she learned the different diets and nutrition support utilized as part of the varied Medical Nutrition Therapies. Additionally, she learned about tray line operations, food safety and hospital regulations. She also worked with a Functional dietitian where Yuilyn was able to put in practice and improve her administrative, office management, counseling, health coaching and research skills. As part of prior work experience, Yuilyn also received training in different areas of Law.
Her passion for Nutrition Science and her knowledge of Law and Regulations is what motivated Yuilyn to pursue a Master of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University Friedman School in Boston, where she currently resides.
Yuilyn believes that empowering individuals through education, interdisciplinary collaboration and adequate nutrition policies/regulations are important steps towards a healthier population.
In her spare time, you will find Yuilyn working out, meal prepping, reading and traveling.
