Shelby Utter, RDN, IFNCP is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner, board-certified Diabetes Specialist, and the founder of Mind Soma. Her expertise extends to gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and women’s health, providing personalized and holistic care.

In 2020, Shelby authored “Plant Based Kitchen: A Dietitian’s Guide and Cookbook to Plant-Based Eating,” emphasizing nourishing and sustainable dietary practices. Through Mind Soma, Shelby leverages innovative techniques such as nutritional psychiatry, cognitive behavioral therapy, and lifestyle rehabilitation to address unique health challenges. Her multi-faceted approach helps restore gut health, reduce dietary inflammation, and enhance mood, energy, cognition, and more. A graduate of Georgia State University’s Didactic Program in Dietetics, Shelby completed her in-depth clinical training in Medical Nutrition Therapy at Emory University Hospital.
