Lauren Sample, IFNA Nutrition Intern
Lauren Sample is a student-athlete with a passion for learning, leadership, and helping others. She has a strong interest in nutrition and health and is especially curious about how food, lifestyle, and everyday choices can influence long-term health and well-being.
Lauren enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and creating healthy recipes that are both nutrient-dense and delicious. Her interest in nutrition became even more personal after recovering from two significant athletic injuries. Through that experience, she saw firsthand how a sports nutrition plan, combined with physical therapy, lymphatic drainage massage, and other supportive strategies, can play an important role in healing, recovery, and performance. This experience strengthened her belief that nutrition can be a powerful ally in supporting the body’s ability to heal.
Outside of academics and athletics, Lauren enjoys spending time at the beach, being around dogs, trying new foods and recipes, and going out with friends. With her curiosity, compassion, and determination, she looks forward to continuing to grow as a student and athlete while exploring her interests in nutrition, health, and a future career in business or medicine.
