Biography :

I am a registered dietitian and owner of Healthy 4 Life Nutrition, a private practice in Santa Monica, CA. My passion lies in improving the health of my patients in a holistic manner; addressing the whole person rather than symptoms alone. I combine medical nutrition therapy and integrative and functional nutrition to help my patients regain their vitality, by finding root causes of their health concerns, using a food as medicine approach, and encouraging a variety of mind-body modalities. My nutrition plans, supplementation recommendations, and lifestyle modifications are personalized for the patient, based on their health goals.

Prior to receiving both my Bachelors of Science and Masters degrees in Nutrition from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), graduating magna cum laude, I studied in the dental field as well as nursing. As long as I can remember, I’ve always had an interest in science and health! My hands-on dietetic training was completed at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Healthcare System in West Los Angeles, CA and have since been in practice since 2002. My most recent accomplishment was becoming an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP). I believe this is the future of nutrition and am excited to be on the forefront!

Aside from my private practice, I have ongoing experience as a research assistant in prediabetes research at the VA Hospital, presenting corporate wellness lectures, and as a nutrition expert in various legal cases. I have acquired a number of certifications, am a life-long student of the latest evidence-based nutrition, and basically just love to help people!

I truly believe that Food is Medicine. Finding the balance between our nutrition and lifestyle choices, although a different journey for each of us, is essential for long-term health, vitality, and the quality of our lives.
