Biography :Health and healing is a personal journey. Your relationship with food not only impacts your health but may impact those around you. My path lead me from working extensively in the eating disorder realm, to working with children with sensory integration issues. To further support both child and adult in their quest to heal, I have been receiving on-going advanced education in Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy since 2010.
I utilize the functional nutrition approach which concentrates on identifying root causes and whole foods to support adults and children in healing; however, with children, I use the training influences of professionals as Ellyn Satter, MS, RD, Kay Toomey, PhD and Elizabeth Strickland, MS, RD, LD, to provide insight regarding their child’s feeding and health issues. In addition, utilizing the hands on approach in teaching cooking and nutrition, both child and adult begin their own personal journey in incorporating delicious and healing whole foods.
