I utilize food-as-medicine strategies, advanced functional lab testing, evidence- and practice-based protocols, intentional movement, and integrative approaches to empower clients to heal and thrive. My passion for teaching others how to use food-as-medicine and mind-body modalities stems from my experience as a collegiate athlete, kinesiology and nutrition degrees, and personal experience of benefiting from a functional medicine approach to identify and heal IBS, leaky gut, and food sensitivities. I've worked with an array of clients, including highly complex patients with spinal cord injury/disorders (SCI/D), was a co-founder of the first SCI/D adaptive gardening program within the VA healthcare system, and am the co-author of the VA's Interdisciplinary SCI/D Whole Health Cooking and Gardening Toolkit. In addition to my kinesiology and exercise physiology background, I've spent the last 10+ years studying nutrition and have completed advanced training in integrative and functional medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine, Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy, and Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.
