Biography :Carmen D. Dragan is a registered and licensed dietitian. She holds multiple certifications: Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner, Certified Lifestyle Eating and Performance Therapist-dealing with food sensitivities, Certified Specialist in Geriatric Nutrition. During her career, Carmen acquired a very diversified experience: private practice dealing with food sensitivities, consulting in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, and drug and alcohol recovery facilities. While having a very rewarding career helping people healing with nutrition, Carmen felt that she needs to do more to avoid and alleviate the multitude of modern era chronic diseases (diabetes, gut problems, autoimmune conditions, allergies/sensitivities, addiction to name just a few). That AHA moment lead her to transition her practice to prevention rather than treatment. Carmen founded Skilled Nutrition Services Inc. in Boynton Beach, Florida and is providing nutrition services and treatment in person or virtual.
Her experience in numerous fields places Carmen in a unique position to provide skilled but at the same time easily understood nutrition information. She strongly believes that wholesome food has a quintessential role in health. She enjoys teaching people that healthy food is delicious and fun. Carmen achieves that through multiple methods like active participation, recipe creations, and food demonstrations. However, her vision of healing does not focus solely on nutrition- she integrates her practice with other health practitioners because she has a very holistic view of clients’ approach to health maintenance. She encourages clients to be physically active, have good sleep hygiene, have a purpose in life and connect with nature. In conclusion, Carmen’s message is: Empower yourself by eating healthy, exercising, striving for happiness, immersing in nature so you can serve as a loving member of your family and community. Carmen is proficient in English and Romanian. For more information see www.skillednutritionservicesinc.com.
