Biography :

DeeAnna is a graduate of Bastyr University's MS in Nutrition Sciences, as well as the prestigious integrative medicine dietetic internship. Before attending Bastyr, she attended Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition in the San Francisco Bay area and obtained certification as a Natural Chef. Since graduation from Bastyr, she has been honored for the opportunity to co-author both a chapter and an appendix on drug-nutrient interactions in Krause's Food and the Nutrition Care Process, 14th edition. She is currently working as the Gastroenterology Clinical Nutrition Specialist at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA, as well as one day per week in the Swedish Cancer Institute and is always eager to find ways to bring integrative and functional nutrition practice into the allopathic medical world. In her free time she loves to cook up new recipes, developing her new food blog, running, laughing with friends and family, and spending time outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
