Three Certification Pathways for Flexible Learning

Our students come from all over the world and include nutritionists, registered dietitians, medical doctors, nurses, physician assistants, health coaches, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners, to name just a few. Everyone has their unique reasons for studying integrative and functional nutrition, which is why we offer three Pathways for experiencing IFNA.

There are THREE ways in which you can interact with the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy training program:

1. Continuing Education (CPEUs) – You can matriculate through the various Tracks and earn CPEU’s. We currently have up to 224 CPEUs preapproved as an Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

2. Functional Nutrition Certificate of Training/COT (includes CPEUs) –  Requirements include successful completion of:

  • complete Tracks 1-5 within 12 months (for a description of each module within the Tracks, click here).
  • pass all module quizzes
  • Fees for Tracks 1 – 5

3. IFNCP Credential (includes IFNA Certificate of Training + CPEUs) –  Credential applicants must:

  • complete Tracks 1-5 within 12 months (for a description of each module within the Tracks, click here).
  • pass all module quizzes
  • mentoring hours may apply (Contact us to determine if additional mentoring hours are required for you.)
  • complete the IFNCP review course (Contact us to determine if this is required for you)
  • submit an application (upon completion of the entire program) and a one time application fee of $149
  • pass the IFNCP Credential Exam
  • Fees for Tracks 1 – 5

Eligible persons for the IFNCP credential include (additional mentoring requirements may apply):

  1. Health care practitioners (i.e. RDNs, MDs, RNs, Nurse Practitioners, DCs, DPTs, NDs)
  2. Dietetic interns and DTRs
  3. Masters or Doctorate level students in the health science/nutrition field
  4. Health coaches and other allied health care professionals
