
Paula Mendelsohn, MPH, RDN, CCN has been in private practice in Boca Raton since 1987. She is a graduate of the University of Florida at Gainesville and completed her Master’s in Public Health Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After her internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Paula served as Nutrition Supervisor for a Laotian Refugee camp in northern Thailand. Paula served as adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University where she taught hundreds of students each semester in the nutrition program for the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing from 2002-2013. As of fall of 2013, Paula served as nutrition adjunct professor for the Boca campus of the Palm Beach State College. In 2002, Paula become a Certified Clinical Nutritionist and in 2004, completed the IFM course Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP). She is an active member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and was honored to be selected for their Nutrition Advisory Board from 2007-2011, as well as volunteering in their Mentor-Mentee program at Symposium since 2006. Paula served on the Executive Board of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics practice group called “DIFM”-Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine in 2009. In 2008, Paula’s practice-Boca Wellness & Nutrition Services” was designated a TLC Center of Excellence. Paula is a regular volunteer at the Florida Dietetic Association’s annual state meeting and served as President of her home chapter Palm Beach Dietetic Association for the 2012-2013 year.
