Elizabeth W. Boham, MD, MS, RDN

Elizabeth Boham, MD, MS, RD, is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician from Albany Medical School, specializing in Functional and Integrative Medicine. In addition, she received her undergraduate degree in nutritional biochemistry from Cornell University and received her masters and RD through Columbia University

Dr. Boham joined Dr. Mark Hyman and The UltraWellness Center team in 2007. Prior to that she practiced integrative medicine at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA.

Dr. Boham learned how difficult it can be to navigate through the health-care system, after being diagnosed with breast cancer herself.

Functional Medicine has helped Dr. Boham realize how important it is to look at the systems in the body to discover the underlying cause for dysfunction.

She lectures on a variety of topics, including Women’s Health and Breast Cancer Prevention, insulin resistance, heart health, weight control and allergies. She’s on the faculty for the Institute for Functional Medicine and has been featured on the Dr Oz show and in a variety of magazines, books and other media. Through her practice and lecturing, she’s helped thousands of people achieve their goals of optimum health and wellness.
