Amy McCrea, MBA, RDN, LDN, IFNCP, CGN, CLT

Amy McCrea, MBA, RDN, LDN, IFNCP, CGN, CLT, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in gastrointestinal disorders—including Celiac Disease, Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity, IBS, IBD, and SIBO—as well as autoimmune and chronic health conditions.  She has completed Advanced Nutrigenomics training along with Monash Low FODMAP training to further support the complex GI patient population she serves.

Amy’s path to becoming a dietitian was anything but linear. She began her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician, but her own evolving health challenges inspired a shift. She transitioned into process management consulting at Nationwide Insurance, earned her MBA, and later founded Soodles Bake Shop, an allergy-friendly bakery. Amy went on to become a dietitian to have a greater impact in people’s lives.

Amy is now the founder of Grounded Root Nutrition, specializing in patients with complex gut issues.  She embraces the root cause model, diving deep into health history and integrating functional nutrition testing including nutrigenomics, stool testing, MRT/LEAP food sensitivity testing, and organic acid testing.  Her mission is to give each patient the personalized tools they need to heal and to help them believe they are truly worthy of feeling well.

Amy serves as a mentor to fellow clinicians.  She believes clinicians grow best in community and brings that same collaborative spirit to her mentorship relationships.  She is available to mentor on a variety of topics – including lab testing, complex cases, and practice building – and brings the same depth and curiosity to her mentorship that she brings to patient care.
